Renault has announced plans to introduce its next generation hatchback, the hatchback sports car at Geneva Motor Shows next year.

The sporty hatchback will be based on the Renault Twizy sports car.

The new hatchback is designed to be used by commuters, students and the occasional tourist.

It will have a range of 200km and will be powered by a 2.0L V6 diesel engine.

Renault said the vehicle would offer “the fastest performance” of any hatchback and that it was designed with the aim of “encouraging the next generation of consumers to become active members of the local community.”

The Renault Twis will be sold at Geneva with the Twis being a limited edition version with an exclusive Renault design.

Renault also announced a brand new Renault Twys model for the city of Geneva.
