Volkswagen recalls 1.6 million diesel vehicles due to engine defect August 26, 2021 August 26, 2021 admin

Volkswagen has recalled 1.5 million diesel cars due to a possible engine defect in the latest batch of its latest models.

The automaker has since taken the cars off sale, and said customers will receive a full refund.

The recall covers models that were manufactured between April 1, 2018 and March 31, 2019.

The company said the problem arose because of an electrical circuit failure.

Volkswagen said that, due to the circuit failure, a faulty component may have been installed on the engine, potentially causing the engine to fail, and in doing so, possibly resulting in a premature combustion.

The cars will be recalled for a full replacement or repair, depending on the reason for the recall.

Volkswagen is asking that customers notify it if they have any questions.
